We conclude that pAKD4 and pIJB1 are new members of the IncP-1δ sub-group. Since pAKD4 is the only plasmid of the three with a complete set of typical IncP-1δ- like transfer genes and is self-transferable, we propose it to be the prototype plasmid for the IncP-1δ subgroup.
